You are probably familiar with these guys: http://www.waybackmachineband.com/About.html , as they seem to be a Tucson Institution, and feature another 12-stringer: http://www.waybackmachineband.com/bi-tw.html . Sorry, Bis - I apologize that I can't give you any advice on The Wayback Machine. I have heard of, but never heard them. There's a possibility I may have met Tom Woolley MANY many years ago. - Of course you may ask - it is because one of the selection criteria he used when selecting "Peterdale's Acoustic Show" (at least, this particular incarnation of it) was songs that I had already rated 5 stars. Arizona
Hello sweet 12 Stringer! Jim mentioned you were wondering about my Arizona trip, and I just looked back and found your comment. Errr... I sent out an e-newsletter a good while back and I figured you were on my email list - but perhaps you're not! I had talked about my plans for a Colorado-Arizona trip and asked if any Arizona folks had any thoughts - but didn't hear from you or J-walk, so figured you guys didn't have any ideas. :-) I actually went to Phoenix for a folk-music conference. All the late-night showcases that appeared on my schedule were not open to the public. Only to conference attendees. I also visited with my old friend Louise, who I wrote the song about. I had meant to try and book a public venue or two, but just didn't have time to work on it with the Alaska tour happening right before this trip. Point is, though, it would have been great to somehow meet you, if I'd known you'd wanted to meet me! Point also is, I loved Arizona - especially when I took a 3 days solo trip to the Grand Canyon. Absolutely amazing there, and fascinating landscape all around. So I hope to come back someday and hope you'll want to meet up with li'l ol' me next time!
