Audion

Audion is an audio player for Apple Mac OS X machines which supports mp3PRO. It uses less system resources than iTunes when listening to a Whole Wheat Radio audio stream.
May I suggest also using the Stereo Classic skin as well for the best classic wood-tuner-style Whole Wheat Radio experience!
Tune into Whole Wheat Radio
- Download Audion, open the image file and drag the Audion program to your Applications folder
- Open your Applications folder and drag Audion to the dock
- Download the high quality or low quality stream file
- Drag the downloaded file to the Audion icon in your dock
- Grab a coffee, kick your shoes off and relax!
Fifteen days after installing Audion it will play for only 15 minutes before showing a registration message. Click the "Buy" button to get the free registration number.
Intel Mac support and speed
The latest generation of Apple computers use Intel chips instead of the PowerPC which was the platform Audion was designed for, and unfortunately the creators of Audion are not intending to release a new "universal" version.
Despite this, using Audion is still a breeze on my MacBook Pro, and still runs smoother and sounds better than iTunes.
