The original band members of TMS got back together earlier this year to record some of Tracy's new material. We learned our parts to the songs during the month of March and after just 2 rehearsals together as a band, we went into the studio on April 3, 2006 and recorded 12 tracks in about 8 hours. The vocals and guitar leads and some other tracks were done in May. Kimberly, the fiddle player who literally saved "Buddy's Fiddle" from the Recycle Bin, layed down 2 tracks in July and the CD was finally mixed down and mastered in late August. The final production was completed and we received our CD's on September 18th, exactly one month before Tracy left us. Many prayers and this music project kept Tracy with us longer than the doctors ever said she would. Her music is a gift for people of all ages to enjoy and listen to.
Tracy passed away on October 18, 2006 at the home of her dear friend Pamela Hitchner. After battling a rare type of Melanoma for the better part of 2 years, she is now in a place where her pain no longer exists. Her incredible strength and faith in God has been an inspiration for all of us. The music on our CD is a celebration of Tracy's life and her songs are awesome! She is a strong, amazing, gifted and talented woman and in her wonderful music she will always live with us. It is said that people come into your life for a reason. And it only makes sense that people must have to leave for a reason too. What that reason might be is unclear right now, but I will always be gratetful for Tracy being a part of my life and being her bass player. I promised her I would share her music with as many people as I could and really hope you enjoy listening to the stories in her songs..

I understand that the brilliant lyricist Tracy Howard has moved on to the ultimate venue (heaven) as a fitting reward to her talent. It is truely A god given talent like hers that allows for my success. Not since the late Janice Joplin have I heard honest raw vocals as Tracys nor felt heart and soul stiring words blended with equaly gifted sound as Tracy and her band have left the world to enjoy! Truely a legacy left as a testament to her life. I found myself feeling short changed that I did not know of her until she was gone. Yet I feel pleasure from the gift of her music. She will truely be missed by the living that are lucky enough to enjoy her gift!!
