The first bands I played in ('73 - '75 High School days) were "Orange Sunshine" (a teen garage band that also featured talk show host Montel Williams) and Baltimore bar band "Kotton" (with Mickey Eckman). John VanDyke and I launched our long-lived acoustic duo, "VanDyke & Glaser" in 1976. Then there were the Telluride days, a cover/original bar band that was together with various members 1979 - 1983. The original Telluride featured David Glaser (guitars), John VanDyke (guitars), Ron Lily (bass), Mark Chilcote (drums) and Gary Ellinger (drums).

Next came The Intruders (cover/original bar band) 1983 - 1984 featuring David Glaser (guitars), Lantz Cox (drums), Gary Falwell (bass), Dave Fairall (keys & sax), Mike Deely (bass). We started out as a power trio covering a lot of Police and Peter Gabriel tunes, then became a quartet when Gary left the band and Mike & Dave F joined.

Then David found himself onstage at Madison Square Garden with Elektra recording artists Starpoint. During my tenure as touring guitarist (1985 - 1986) we toured and played shows with Morris Day, Luther Vandross, Isley Jasper Isley, Peabo Bryson and many others. At left with Ernesto Phillips, at right with Renee Diggs and Ky Adeymo. Visit Starpoint's web page to hear clips and see pics of me onstage with them.

Guitars From Mars was a band I put together with "1000 Names" buddy Russell Stone that also featured Greg Phillips (drums), Ryan Diehl (drums) and Anthony Setola (bass). GFM made a 2 CD live recording called "Live On Planet Earth" which is available for sale on the music page. Anthony is also the principal bass player on my 2003 CD, "Reunion", and plays several tracks on my 2007 release, "Cars & Lovers".

Recently I've decided to stop playing bar gigs and focus on playing my own music in mostly acoustic guitar mode. I will continue to rock out once in a while, but I think those days are coming to a close for me. I've always loved folk and country music, and I've been enjoying writing and performing more in those genres. My new CD "Cars & Lovers" is about half and half; rock mixed with folkier acoustic stuff. I like to call it "Cosmic American Music" (a phrase coined by the great Gram Parsons), because it incorporates elements of all the great American genres: rock, country, folk, blues, and maybe at times even a little jazz. The release date is set for Feb 2008 - we'll see if I can make it happen. I am already planning and writing my next CD, which should be out by late 2008, God willing. An acoustic deconstruction "Best Of" CD is also planned, along with several other projects currently in embryonic stages. read more.
