CATHY FINK & MARCY MARXER are musical treasures with an international following for their folk, country and family music. These two remarkable entertainers blend elements of music and comedy, instrument making, trick roping, American Sign Language and audience participation into one of the most contagiously high-spirited children's and family shows around. Accompanying themselves on five-string banjo, acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin and steel drum, their energy, instrumentation and harmonies get the entire audience singing, yodeling, playing their “air guitars” and joining right along.

Cathy & Marcy won back-to-back GRAMMY ® Awards in the Best Musical Album for Children category in 2004 & 2005. They produced and performed on “cELLAbration: A Tribute To Ella Jenkins”, bringing Pete Seeger, Riders in the Sky, Sweet Honey in the Rock, Mariachi Los Camperos and a handful of other artists together to honor Ella Jenkins in 2005. In 2004, their CD “Bon Appétit!: Musical Food Fun” won the award. Their latest release, “Scat Like That: A Musical Word Odyssey” was a GRAMMY® Finalist this year and the title song won this year’s John Lennon Songwriting Contest! From scat singing to tongue twisters, limericks and Pig Latin, the CD encourages reading skills and motivation and has been embraced by the PBS “Reading Rockets” website. Cathy & Marcy have expanded their own reach in children’s music with a new interactive web site: www.songshop.cathymarcy.com, to engage mediasavvy kids & parents in more musical fun, complete with interactive blog and fun reports from their touring adventures.

The dynamic duo has been honored by their peers with NINE other GRAMMY® nominations for children’s and folk music. Their catalogue of over 30 audio and video recordings have received additional awards from organizations like Parents' Choice Foundation, The Oppenheim Toy Portfolio, American Library Association and Early Childhood News. The Washington Area Music Association has honored Cathy & Marcy with over 40 WAMMY Awards.

An eclectic folk festival on their own terms, Cathy & Marcy have entertained the Queen of Thailand, sung at the White House Easter Egg Roll, been keynote singers for the AFL-CIO, performed at hundreds of folk festivals, appeared on the "Today Show" and on National Public Radio.
