Use the form below or the search feature in the left-hand column to find the Artists' page which contains information about you.
- To use the form below:
Music database search
- Type the name in the Artists field.
- Click the search link.
- This page will reload with a list of tracks under the form.
- Click any of the artist links to go to the Artists' page. On that page is information about the artist, fans, albums on WWR and statistics.
If the link is red a wiki page hasn't yet been made for the artist. (See some tips on making one below.)
Changing and adding artists' information
Create an account
You need a User account to change any pages or information. Guidelines to creating an account are here, Create an account.
Note that the email addresses you give for a User account is not added to your Artists' information that shows on the Artists' page. See "Artists' information" below to do that.
User page
Every user has a User page. It's not the same as an Artists' page. To distinguish between the two it may help to think of the User page as a "Listener" page. You can add information about yourself on your User/Listener page, but in order for listeners to read about you by clicking links that appear when your music is played it needs to be added to your Artists' page.
Artists' page
WWR listeners want to know about you!
A great deal of the information on Artists' pages comes from the WWR music databases. Other information is entered into the website/wiki by Users/Listeners. (If you've made an account you, the artist, are a User now, too.) Biographical information, musical information and the like is added by editing the page. Photos can be added, too.
Use the search form above to find your artists' page. Click the link with your name.
The page opens in "Read" mode - click the "Edit" link/tab to go to "Edit" mode where a big white box appears for adding and editing your information. You can tell if you are on an Artists' page when the first tab in the upper left of the page is named "Artists" and the title of the page directly underneath it has the prefix "Artists:" before the name. If the link is red, Users have not added to your page, and it opens in "Edit" mode — with the big white box for entering text.)
Please add information about yourself and your music into the big white edit box. Click the "Show preview" button to see how it will look, and click the "Save page" button when you are ready to save the information.
Guidelines for editing pages are on the Editing cheat sheet page.
You may want to bookmark your Artists' page in order to find it quickly.
Artists' information
Artists' information like website, email, and location is entered into the WWR databases and shows on the Artists' page, chat pages, currently playing pages and the like.
To add the information or update it, click "Edit" link and find, towards the bottom, something that looks like {{email|email@address.com}}. Change only the information after the vertical bar (pipe) and the first closing bracket.
Use the email address to which you want WWR fans to write and to receive email from WWR.
Where to ask questions
If you run into snags with any of the above, please ask questions on Ask Mr. Monkey page, or in the main chat or the Breakfast Table chat.
And please do ask questions, we want to make this as easy as possible!
